Nanoscale Metrology Lab

Facilities for nanoscale metrology include:
  • 2 GHz frequency domain photoacoustic microscope;
  • Laser ultrasonic setup (bandwidth < 200 MHz)
  • Displacement and velocity Michelson interferometers
  • Innova IRIS Integrated AFM and Raman microscope
  • Apertureless near-field optical microscope
  • High Frequency (4 GHz) RF signal generators,
  • RF lock-in amplifier, network analyzers
  • Laser sources: Intensity modulated Erbium doped fiber laser (1550 nm), Nd:YAG pulsed laser (1064 nm, pulse width = 1ns, pulse repetition frequency =1kHz, peak energy per pulse = 1mJ), Nd:YAG continuous wave lasers, (532 nm, peak power = 200mW)
  • High Speed photo-detectors for IR and visible wavelengths (Bandwidth:1 GHz), avalanche photo-detector (Bandwidth = 50 MHz and 5MHz -1GHz)
  • Polygon scanning mirror assembly
